DEBIT NETWORK ALLIANCE RELEASES BULLETIN ON ROUTING TO THE U.S. COMMON DEBIT AID

MONTVALE, NJ – May 11, 2016

DNA has issued a bulletin advising merchants and ATM deployers to select the U.S. Common Debit AIDs when processing chip enabled debit cards in the U.S. The bulletin explains the benefits to merchants, issuers and consumers of the U.S. Common Debit AID selection and provides additional information on screen prompt recommendations.

DEBIT NETWORK ALLIANCE COMPLETES CERTIFICATION PROCESS FOR DNA SHARED DEBIT AID

MONTVALE, NJ – August 13, 2015

The Debit Network Alliance LLC announced it is ready to deploy the DNA Shared Debit AID. This work not only ensures merchants have the choice to accept non-global branded debit cards at the POS, but also ensures merchants have choice in how they route their transactions — giving them the ability to maximize their profits.
The deployment of DNA’s shared application identifier (AID) for chip cards means card issuers can offer their customers a non-global branded debit card that will be accepted domestically. Having the choice of issuing non-global branded debit cards means issuers can control costs by lowering transaction fees.

Guidelines for Debit Chip Card Payment Acceptance Coming Soon!

MONTVALE, NJ – July 1, 2014

The Debit Network Alliance (DNA) — comprised of 10 leading U.S. debit networks — will soon publish an important white paper for point-of-sale (POS) acquiring processors and merchants to reference when designing debit chip card-accepting POS systems. In addition, we are also pleased to announce that we have registered our DNA Shared Debit AID with the International Organization for Standardization. This is an important milestone toward enabling participants to issue Regulation II-compliant chip cards with multiple regional DNA networks branded on the card. DNA-supported applications comply with the EMV Common Core Definition (CCD) specification.

LEADING PIN DEBIT NETWORKS FORM NEW COMPANY

Debit Network Alliance to Provide Governance Structure for Debit EMV Deployment in U.S.
MONTVALE, NJ – Dec. 11, 2013

Ten leading PIN debit networks in the United States have formed a new company, Debit Network Alliance, to provide a structure for the governance, deployment and implementation of the EMV debit standard. The goal of this collaborative effort is to help facilitate the adoption of an interoperable EMV standard for debit payments in the U.S., while supporting innovation, regulatory compliance, choice and the proven track record of PIN security in reducing payment fraud.
